It was clearly a case for our CCTV equipment, we needed to see what the issue was rather than guess and cost the client pointless money as had happened before. What we found was an old football blocking the flow. The reason it was not blocked all the time was in some period of high flow the ball would float around and let some water through, then as the level fell it would be sucked over the hole and block the drain again. Just by using this equipment, we were able to identify the issue and employ the right solution for a fast and effective result for the client. “
